The Langhe is an area located in Northern Italy in Cuneo province. This peaceful place consisting of hills, fields, valleys and rivers has been a favorite vacation spot for the Swiss, German and Dutch for years but is quickly becoming well-known with travelers from all over. The area is known for its clean air, delicious foods, world-class wines and beautiful scenery and will be known for one more thing this coming spring; Villa Bergolo, a 100-year old traditional piemonte stone villa which has been restored into a Bed and Breakfast.
Villa Bergolo will be welcoming guests for the first time this coming May 1st, 2014. This lovely bed and breakfast is located in Blangera, an area not far from Alba and the Medieval village of Bergolo where concerts and festivals are held during the summer months.
Guests to the Villa enjoy a choice between three different suites – The Verde Suite, The Violetta Suite and the Nero Suite and these lovely bedrooms include a large en-suite. All of these suites combine luxury, space, modernity and style to allow you to enjoy your stay in comfort and relaxation. All visitors enjoy a delicious and hearty breakfast served every morning to ensure a good start to the day before setting off in search of various adventures. And speaking of things to do, there are many! Just around the Villa itself are spacious grounds where one can wander around and admire the view and enjoy the natural surroundings. Bergolo has a very Medieval feel to it and a walk through the village feels like a walk back in time.
There are many activities available in the area including hiking, hot air balloon tours and cycling and the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Villa Bergolo can arrange many of these activities for guests and make recommendations on various other things to see and do. The area surrounding the Villa is also home to a number of shops and restaurants.
